The index is based on things that the Homeowners' Federation considers to be important ingredients for an attractive housing environment. These include low burglary risk and low municipal tariffs for water, sewage and waste collection. Another important factor when developing the survey index is also how many small houses a municipality builds and how many it is planned for.

- Characteristic for Habo is that you have a large proportion of small houses in the municipality and have also invested in small houses in their housing production for a long time. The small houses that are planned will also be completed almost always, says Stefan Johansson, head of social policy at Villaägarnas Riksförbund in a press release.

In the survey, Habo is given an index of 0.72 and thus ranks fifth in the country. The second best municipality in the county is Tranås with 0.21, giving it a 63rd place in the country. Jönköping municipality is ranked worst by the county's municipalities with an index of - 0.18 and ranking 208 among the country's 290 municipalities.

The best result in the country got Båstad municipality with an index of 1.21.
