"Tomorrow I plan a trip to Tulun," RIA Novosti quoted Kobzeva as saying.

On December 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of Irkutsk governor Sergei Levchenko, appointing acting head of the region Igor Kobzev.

According to the plenipotentiary of the president in the Siberian Federal District, Sergei Menyaylo, the first task that Kobzev faces is to solve the problems of citizens affected by floods.

Floods in the Irkutsk region and the Far East began in late June. As a result of the flood, the city of Tulun was significantly affected.

According to preliminary data, 25 people were killed as a result of the flood in the region.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko at a meeting on the elimination of the consequences of floods in Siberia and the Far East said that the economic development program for flood-affected areas of the Irkutsk region involves raising about 16 billion rubles.
