U.S. new spacecraft training aircraft released Manned space flight transportation December 12 12:11

The new spacecraft training aircraft, which was developed in the United States as a vehicle for manned space flight following the space shuttle, was released for the first time before the test flight on the 20th of this month.

The unveiled spacecraft "Starliner" was developed by Boeing.

The Starliner is nearly conical with a diameter of 4.5 meters and a height of 5 meters, and can accommodate up to seven passengers.

NASA = Aerospace Administration in the United States, after retirement of the Space Shuttle in 2011, ISS = relying on Russian Soyuz to transport astronauts to the International Space Station. Two types of new spacecraft are being developed.

The Starliner is one of them, which means that most of the maneuvering is automated compared to the Space Shuttle, reducing the number of switches from over 1000 to about 50.

NASA will conduct Starliner's first unmanned test flight on the 20th of this month and hope to try manned flight as early as the first half of next year.

A NASA test flight representative expressed his expectation that "an increase in space flight options will lead to the development of international cooperation."

On the other hand, the other new spacecraft is a crew dragon developed by Space X, a space development venture company, which has succeeded in unmanned flight in March and plans to carry out manned flight from next year.
