At this point, the United Nations headquarters in New York, USA, is holding an open Security Council meeting to discuss North Korea's recent provocations. In the negotiating phase, the United States, which had been a step away, called for the Security Council to be called on the North Korean affairs in nearly two years.

Correspondent Kim Soo-hyun, what is being discussed at the meeting?

Two hours ago, the United Nations Headquarters held an open meeting with 15 members of the Security Council, as well as South Korea and Japan.

The meeting was convened by the interim chairman of the United States, and the US ambassador to the United Nations, Calif., Says there is no time limit for North Korea not to let the provocation go free.

[US Ambassador to Calicraft / UN: I believe that North Korea will not make the wrong decision and will no longer hostile action. Otherwise, all UN Security Council members should be prepared to respond appropriately.]

North Korea's provocations, particularly in European countries, have threatened regional security and say North Korea should return to talks with North America as soon as possible.

The Chinese ambassador, however, urged the United States to respond step-by-step and simultaneously to resume North American dialogue.

It was almost two years since the last time North Korea launched the ICBM class Mars 15 was called upon by the US to convene the Security Council.

Correspondent Kim talked with each other, and tensions between North America have been increasing recently. Why should the US bring North Korea to the UN?

It seems to send a warning message to North Korea, with the prospect of North Korea's provocation nearing the end of the year.

The international community is concerned about North Korea's provocations, and if provoked, the UN sanctions against North Korea will be stronger.

The US summoned the Security Council on North Korea, but did not hold a North Korean Human Rights Conference yesterday.

It is interpreted as leaving room for continued dialogue without overstimulating North Korea.

Today, the United States delegation to the United Nations, a special representative for North Korea's North Korea policy, named to the Secretary of State, had a luncheon with the Ambassadors and discussed the need for cooperation.
