Just over ten years ago, the situation was different. Then the automotive industry crashed. Sales of Volvo cars crashed. And Volvo cars notified thousands of employees. Since then, Volvo has changed owners, from American Ford to Chinese Geely. And now sales records are set after sales records.

Car models that customers demand

Above all, Volvo sells more milk. It's about a threefold in just ten years. Mikael Wickelgren is Associate Professor of Business Administration at the University of Skövde and he believes that suvar is one of the explanations for Volvo's sales success. Suvar more profitable

According to Mikael Wickelgren, suvars are more profitable than other types of vehicles. At the same time, suave heavier vehicles require more energy to move forward, which also means more emissions.

- More and more customers are demanding suvar. And we at Volvo Cars want to meet the customers in the cars they demand, ”says Karin Wik spokesperson for Volvo Car Sweden.
