“Civil servants, employees of republican state institutions and enterprises under the jurisdiction of executive authorities will have a rest on the last day of the year,” the statement reads on the website of the government of the republic.

It is noted that Konovalov also recommended that other state bodies of the republic and local authorities make December 31 a day off.

Earlier in the Crimea, Pskov region, Stavropol Territory, Kurgan region, Karachay-Cherkessia, Sverdlovsk region, they announced a decision to make December 31, 2019 a day off.

In turn, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with representatives of the HRC, appreciated the opportunity to make December 31 a day off in 2019.

Also, as URA.RU reported, State Duma deputy Vitaly Pashin sent a letter to the governor of the Chelyabinsk region Alexey Teksler with a proposal to make December 31 a day off in the region.
