The Land and Environmental Court today granted the company the right to increase its lime mining from 70,000 tonnes per year to 900,000 tonnes per year. But there is concern about the greatly increased volume of truck transports from the quarry down to the harbor.

According to today's judgment, SMA Mineral must now pay for an investigation into how road safety in connection with transport can be increased.

The judgment can be appealed to the Land and Environmental Tribunal.
