12 December 20192.01 The so-called "plastic tax", which applies to disposable products, drops to 45 cents per kilo. An amendment to the maneuver approved in the Senate Budget Committee provides for this, which reinserts the tetrapak among the materials subjected to the tax. The tax comes into effect in July. Products made from recycled plastic and those made from multiple materials with a plastic component of less than 40% are excluded.
