Police chief about the dead man in Lövgärdet: "We do not know who it is"

A young man was found dead by two passersby in Lövgärdet in Gothenburg on Wednesday morning. The police suspect at this time that it was a murder, but they have not yet identified the man.

"We can't say anything about the person's identity," says Thomas Dellenhed, police chief.

- No, we don't know who it is.

Thomas Dellenhed hopes that everyone who has seen something or knows something will hear.

- We are obviously very interested in all types of tips.

Police are working to knock a door in the area and technicians are investigating the location where the man was found.

- Right now we work quite broadly. We safeguard all measures, hold hearings and conduct a criminal investigation, says Thomas Dellenhed.

- No, we cannot go into any details, but there are some elements in the incident that indicate that he was brought to life.

Are there links to the shooting of death in the same area in May?

- It is difficult to see any connections to this event, but of course we work broadly, it is not something we exclude at the moment.
