Per Schöldberg (C) is a member of parliament and district chairman of the Center Party in Kronoberg County. Shortly after the free judgment against Eskil Erlandsson, he leaves this comment:
- In case of suspected sexual offenses, it is obvious that it should be reported and tried legally. It is important to take these types of events very seriously. This has been a tiring process for everyone involved and I can now conclude that the district court has reached a free judgment, which I have no views on, writes Per Schöldberg (C) in a press release.
When SVT News Småland spoke to him in August when a lawsuit was brought against Eskil Erlandsson, Per Schöldberg (C) said:
- It is very sad, especially for the women who have given testimony. We made a statement already in March about what we think of the situation and regardless it is not okay with that kind of behavior.
