“The receipt of gifts by officials in the off-duty time from their friends or other persons in respect of whom the officials directly perform the functions of the state (municipal) administration is a violation of the established prohibition,” the ministry said.
The Ministry of Labor also recommends that officials refuse to receive free services or property, including temporary use, since the official is prohibited from receiving gifts in the form of any material benefit.
The agency reminded that in case of violation of the ban on receiving a gift, a civil servant can be fired or prosecuted if this gift is regarded as a bribe.
