According to Interfax, security measures have been strengthened near the building - metal fencing, a passage to the memorial with burning lamps, a large portrait of Luzhkov with a mourning ribbon and a memory book, where you can leave notes in memory of the ex-mayor, are carried out through metal detectors.
It is noted that the funeral of Luzhkov will be held on Thursday, December 12, in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the ceremony will be held by Patriarch Kirill, then a funeral will take place.
It is specified that, by decision of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, a government commission was established to organize the funeral of the former mayor.
Earlier, the actor, the head of the Moscow Variety Theater, Gennady Khazanov, in an interview with Nation News commented on the news of Luzhkov’s death, noting that he achieved a lot thanks to him, including becoming the artistic director of the Variety Theater in 1997.
Luzhkov died on December 10 at the age of 83.
It was reported that he would be buried in the Novodevichy cemetery.
