11 December 2019The Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg is the 'Person of the Year' of Time. The American magazine annually elects the person who has done the most to influence the events of the year. Greta at 16 is the youngest person to have won the title. The cover of the magazine reads "The power of youth". Known as "Man of the Year" or "Woman of the Year" until 1999, the award is given to people, groups, ideas or objects that have influenced the lives and news of the year.

This year's candidates also included the American president, Donald Trump, the speaker
of the House, Nancy Pelosi, in addition to the 'mole' that started the impeachment procedure for Trump following the revelation of the phone call with the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky.
