On Wednesday, a new agreement was signed by Municipal Councilor Erik Pelling (S) and Local Police Area Manager Jale Poljarevius.

Police and the municipality have already been cooperating on preventive measures against violent extremism, security and security in public places and in the local crime prevention council.

But the next four years will also focus on a safe and secure school environment without drugs and violence and especially vulnerable victims - ie victims of violence in close relationships, honor violence and sexual violence.

"These victims have been in the cloud all the time, it's time to change that," says Jale Poljarevius.

Shooting for a reason

Erik Pelling emphasizes that the increase in serious organized crime is one of the reasons why the municipality and the police need to become better at working together.

But how can the number of shootings decrease through your cooperation?

- The municipality and the police need to pick up some snaps. We have a high target right now, and that is a zero tolerance against crime in Uppsala.
