According to the law, employers are obliged to notify their employees in writing about changes in the law and the introduction of information on labor activity in electronic form by June 30, 2020.

After that, the employee has the right, by the end of 2020, to choose between a paper or electronic version of the work book and submit the corresponding written application.

On December 3, the State Duma adopted a law on electronic work books.

The first deputy head of the United Russia faction, State Duma deputy Andrei Isaev, in an interview with the FAN, noted that the transition to electronic work books for those who already have paper samples will be voluntary.
