Federation Council approved the law on fines for violation of the law on media foreign agents

Earlier, the State Duma adopted the relevant law.

An administrative fine will be imposed for the violation, which will amount to 10 thousand rubles for citizens, 50 thousand rubles for officials, and 500 thousand rubles for legal entities.

For repeated violation, it is proposed to fine citizens by 50 thousand rubles, officials by 100 thousand rubles and legal entities by 1 million rubles.

In case of gross violation of the procedure for the activity of a media agent, the punishment for citizens will be 100 thousand rubles or administrative arrest for up to 15 days, for officials - 200 thousand rubles, for legal entities - 5 million rubles.
