The incident happened in October and the now convicted man does not deny that it took place. However, he thinks it was about emergency protection. But according to the district court, the violence that was distributed has exceeded that right.

The blood splashed

The victim testified that it all started with a woman accusing him of stealing her cellphone. Exchange of words and some physical contact must have occurred.

After the woman talked to the 25-year-old, he went ahead and smashed the glass in the victim's forehead so that the blood splashed and his clothes soaked. He then had to go to the emergency room to sew the wound to his forehead.

Had been able to reflect

The convicted 25-year-old thinks he was angry, scared and acted without thinking.

But according to the district court, the situation has not been such that he could not imagine - he can not escape responsibility - but is convicted of abuse of the normal degree.

The sentence becomes conditional judgment and community service for 100 hours. He will also pay damages to the victim of just over SEK 20,000.
