She noted that Belarus remains a long-term leader among the CIS countries in the number of trips sold to Russians.

“The situation has not changed yet, although the prices for vacations in this country have risen very much,” said Lomidze.

She explained that the popularity of this country "was due to the fact that holidays in Belarus were much cheaper than at similar sanatorium-resort bases in Russia."

Earlier it became known in which cities of Russia and abroad it would be the cheapest to fly to New Year's holidays. RT got acquainted with the rating data compiled by the online travel agency Biletix.

It was noted that for trips abroad the trip to Minsk will be the most profitable. Tickets from Moscow to the capital of Belarus and back during the period from December 29 to January 10 will cost 6.6 thousand rubles.
