With two days of the presidential election, the challenge does not weaken and the situation seems to be tense. Tuesday, December 10, protests took place in different cities of the country, but the police tried to prevent them. Arrests took place.
In the capital, the weekly mobilization of Tuesday was up, despite a deployment of forces of the original order. In the procession, the demonstrators, students, but not only , chanted that they would not vote and that they wanted a non-military civil status.
There were demonstrations in 19 regions. In Annaba, in the east of the country, several students and teachers were arrested. In Sidi Bel Abbes, people were wounded in clashes with the police.
But beyond the student demonstrations, for several days, processions are also formed at the end of the day, to protest against the organization of the poll. This is the case in Oran, in the west of the country.
This Tuesday however, an important security device prevented the event. The protesters were summoned to leave the premises and there were arrests.
