“The initiative is sound, but I do not believe in repealing the law. All such ideas have been repeatedly blocked by nationalists ... I’m afraid that the same fate awaits the Buzhansky bill, ”the deputy said.

The parliamentarian also called as questioning the fact that the law on the revision of the state language was created on the basis of the decision of the Venice Commission.

In addition, according to him, this initiative is a “logical outcome” of the meeting of the “Norman Four” held on December 9 in the Champs Elysees.

Earlier, Buzhansky spoke about introducing into the Verkhovna Rada a bill to repeal the law on the state language.

Later, Ukraine opposed the revision of this law.

The law on the exclusive use of the Ukrainian language in all spheres of life came into force in Ukraine on July 16.
