On October 24, the State Duma Committee on Health Protection recommended for the second reading a bill providing for the return of smoking rooms to airports, subject to the amendment according to which the walls of smoking rooms should be opaque.

In July, State Duma deputies in the first reading approved the bill.

The first deputy chairman of the committee on education and science of the State Duma, Gennady Onishchenko, in an interview with Nation News also commented on the proposal to let airports into the smoking rooms for money.
