Poroshenko, in particular, emphasized that the red lines indicated by the Ukrainian opposition became a "talisman" for the country during a meeting in the Norman format on December 9.

“The red lines that society has designated have become a real amulet for Ukraine at the Norman summit. I thank every Ukrainian who, on the eve of Paris, took the time to demonstrate his responsible citizenship in Kiev and other cities, ”Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page.

At the same time, he noted that he did not experience euphoria from the results of the summit, which showed that "there is no shortcut to the world."

The ex-president of Ukraine also warned that in the coming weeks, the solution to the gas problem with Russia, where concessions cannot be made, will come to the fore.

“It seems that Putin was only interested in gas. I emphasize once again that the rejection of lawsuits against Gazprom and the return to the Russian gas hook is a big danger, ”Poroshenko said.

On December 8, on the eve of the Norman Four summit in Paris, on the Independence Square in Kiev, the Red Lines for Zelensky action was held, initiated by three opposition Ukrainian parties - European Solidarity, Fatherland and the Voice.

At a press conference following the Norman summit, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky said there was a greater chance of signing a gas contract with Russia on better terms.
