The death toll from White Island volcanic eruptions in New Zealand last day has risen to six.

It is estimated that all eight people are missing.

New Zealand police were sent to a hospital in Auckland shortly after the White Island volcano erupted on the afternoon of September 9, killing 10 nights and increasing the death toll from five to six. It was announced on the 11th.

Deputy Commissioner John Tims of the New Zealand Police Department says identifying the victims of severe burns is a complex task. "We will finish the work as soon as possible and lead the body to our families."

He also said the search for eight suspected dead is difficult to begin until the rescuers find safe landing, but he will do his best to get it done as soon as possible.

In response, New Zealand media say aerial reconnaissance found six out of eight missing persons.

The media also said three people who were taken to hospital after a volcanic eruption were discharged, but 30 were still being treated.

At the time of the eruption, there were 47 New Zealand tourist guides, as well as Australian, American, British, German, Chinese, and Malaysian tourists.

Meanwhile, New Zealand police said they would investigate the case as a criminal case, asking for the fault of the travel agency.

Police Secretary Stewart Nash told a radio broadcast the day before, but he said it was wrong. He said the police's investigation is on behalf of the coroner's office.
