Tools at an estimated value of SEK 100,000 were stolen from a container at a construction site in the Dunkehalla area. The theft was discovered when staff arrived at the building on Tuesday morning.

On Monday, the police also received a report of a tool theft. Then a construction site was hit on Torpa. Three to four containers were broken and several tools for an unknown amount were missing.

- It's a similar approach. Unfortunately, this type of theft is not uncommon, says Åsa Willsund, the police spokesperson.

Are there any suspects?

- We have done technical investigations at the crime scene but no suspicions yet.

Of all the police regions in the country, the increase in thefts at construction sites is greatest in the East Region, where Jönköping County is included. From 2015 to 2018, there was an increase of 76 percent. See more in the clip.
