The patch was written during the biggest strike in Sweden's history and the Archaeologists at the State Historical Museums managed, with some detective work, to find the grandchild of the bottle mail writer.

- It feels powerful that a message that is 110 years old from my grandfather reaches us in the present, says Magnus Nilsson.

The message is dated September 15, 1909 and is written by Sven Thure Nilsson. The bottle post had been hidden in the cornerstone of a house built on top of the old kroner distillery from the 18th century.
