US imposes sanctions on citizens of Serbia and Venezuela

According to the ministry’s statement, the sanctions are timed to coincide with the International Anti-Corruption Day and are introduced against “corrupt players and their networks in different countries of Europe, Asia and Latin America.”

Earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced the imposition of sanctions against six tankers transporting Venezuelan oil to Cuba.

According to the State Department, the tankers transporting oil from Venezuela to Cuba are owned by PDVSA.
