- Increased traffic and high speeds are the biggest problems. One should also keep the vegetation next to the roads to give the motorists a chance to see the deer, says Erika Lindqvist, chairman of the Mörbylånga hunting care circle.
Why isn't wild fencing set up?
- It is a political issue and we are not a priority. But it is obviously the most effective way to avoid wild accidents.
So far this year there have been 427 deer accidents in Borgholm municipality and 278 deer accidents in Mörbylånga municipality, which is 705 in total.
