The support of the Abe administration is falling due to controversy over the Japanese government gathering to see cherry blossoms.

Japan's private broadcaster network JNN, centered on TBS, yesterday (8th) and yesterday in a telephone poll of 18-year-olds in Japan, and Abe's approval rating fell by 5.2 percentage points to 49.1%.

Not responding to Abe's cabinet rose 5.3 percentage points to 47.7 percent.

This is the first time that Abe's cabinet has gained less than 50 percent since the introduction of the polls in October last year, JNN said.

The debate seems to have been attributed to the debate that the Abe administration arbitrarily managed cherry blossom gatherings to strengthen its political base.

67% of the respondents said that meeting with cherry blossoms was a problem, and 72% said they could not agree with Abe's explanation of the event.

58% said they should abolish the gathering to see cherry blossoms.

Former Prime Minister Candidate Shishiru Shigeru, former chief executive of the Liberal Democratic Party, was competing with Prime Minister Abe just before he took over.

When asked who would be the next president of the Liberal Democratic Party, 24 percent of respondents chose Mr. Ishiba.

Mr. Ishiba was named the best person for the next three consecutive months in the JNN survey.

Shinji Koizumi was followed by the Environment Award with 19%, and Prime Minister Abe, who was second in the previous survey, dropped to third place with only 12%.

More than 40 percent of South Koreans and Japanese responded that they endorsed the end of the Military Information Security Agreement, 35 percent said they did not.

As for Japan-Korea relations, 67% said that if Japan can yield, there is no need to rush to improve relations.

43% oppose and 37% approve that the Japanese government has decided to send a Marine Corps ship to the Strait of Hormuz.

The poll was conducted on 2,324 people, with 1,169 valid respondents (50.3%).
