“The number of cars will begin to increase, starting in the second half of December - after the 16th. And the main peak of workload will be on December 23-29, ”experts of the data center predict.

It is expected that during this period there will be 150 thousand more cars on the roads of Moscow than usual due to an increase in courier deliveries and increased mobility of Muscovites on the eve of the New Year.

In the daytime, traffic jams in the capital, according to the data center estimates, will reach 6–7 points, and in the evening peak hours, traffic congestion is expected to be 8–9 points.

At the same time, the situation will improve on December 30, and on the last day of 2019, no difficulties are expected on the roads of Moscow, with the exception of the areas of shopping centers.

In the last days of December, motorists were recommended to use public transport, if possible, or to move trips by private car to off-peak hours, after 21:00.

Earlier, the newspaper Izvestia wrote that on New Year's holidays parking in Moscow will be free.
