And one more rider in the Ineos team! Australian Rohan Dennis, a two-time world time trial champion, has joined Christopher Froome's squad, the latter announced on his website on Monday.

The 29-year-old "has achieved the transfer of his dreams by signing a two-year contract" with the British team, the statement said.

Dennis will join his teammates this week at the December training camp, and he could make his debut with Ineos at the Australian championships in early 2020.

Stage winner at the French and Italian Tours, Dennis had no team since mid-September 2019.

Four days after his second world championship title in Harrogate, Yorkshire, his Bahrain-Merida team has announced the end of his contract.

Acted as of September 13, the termination was made public only after the world championships, "to allow Mr. Dennis to prepare without a hitch" to the test.

In July, the Australian rider had abandoned the Tour de France without providing an explanation, in the 12th stage, the day before the time trial of which he was one of the favorites. He then ran to the world time trial, which he won handily on a bike with the masked mark.

Professional since 2013, the former record holder of the hour joined the Bahrain team in early 2019, after four and a half years at BMC.
