Yesterday, the misdemeanor court in Ras Al-Khaimah, examined the case of a (Arab) man accused of insulting and threatening his sister, following differences between them after the death of one of their brothers, and the Public Prosecution Charge sheet stated that the man (the first accused) directed insults at his sister and threatened her, as did the sister (The second defendant) because of her brother, in response to the abuse she suffered, and the defendant refused before the court to reconcile with his sister for the purpose of disciplining her, according to his expression.

The defendant denied insulting and threatening his sister, while the defendant confessed to the court that she had insulted her brother, in response to the insults he addressed to her.

The judge of the session, Fathi al-Qala ', offered reconciliation between the accused three times in a row, but the first accused was committed to completing the trial sessions, and punishing his sister for the abuse he suffered and disrespecting him as his older brother. While the second defendant agreed to the court’s request for conciliation with her brother, and tried to enter her other sister, who was sitting in the courtroom, in order to persuade the first defendant to agree to the conciliation, he was determined to complete the trial procedures.

During the trial session, the judge said that both parties would lose the court if the reconciliation was rejected, as they were accused of insulting each other, and that the court’s humanitarian role, in the year of tolerance, was reconciliation between the accused so that neither of them lost the other.

He explained that the court’s role is to pronounce the ruling in accordance with the law, and the court postponed the case to pronounce the ruling to the next session after the reconciliation was not possible, while their other sister in the hall sent a severe blame to her brother, the first accused, and she said to him: “This is your sister, forgive her, it is the link of your womb”, and he replied that he He wants to "raise her".
