The Saudi Project for Mine Clearance in Yemen, "Pores", announced the implementation of a destruction and detonation of 7778 mines, an explosive device and an unexploded ordnance in Al-Mokha directorate in the western coast of Yemen. This process, which was carried out by the teams 17 and 30 "pores" in the Al-Kedha area of ​​Al-Mokha district, is the ninth operation implemented by the project on the west coast, bringing the total of what has been destroyed so far by the "pores" teams operating there to 54 thousand and 872 mines and an explosive and non-projectile Explosive, and other remnants of war.

Al-Gosaibi said that since the project’s launch, the “Pore” engineering teams have managed to remove 115,930 mines, unexploded ordnance and an explosive device, explaining that the project works in the West Coast with 16 engineering teams distributed over the districts of “Flies, Al-Makhaa, Bab Al-Mandab, Al-Drahami, Distributor, Al-Waziyah , Al-Khokha, Hayis, and Yakhtal », in addition to the Karsh district of Lahj Governorate.

In addition, the engineering teams of the Yemeni army in Maran, Saada Governorate, destroyed large quantities of mines, explosive devices, and unexploded ordnance left by the militias.

The director of the media center in the Maran axis, Captain Adel Al-Qudsi, said that the engineering teams destroyed 1700 mines and an explosive device planted by the militia on the outskirts and surroundings of Al-Malahit Market, explaining that the Houthis planted large quantities of internationally banned anti-personnel mines and imported and locally made explosive devices.

Al-Qudsi pointed out that there are many minefields that engineering teams are still working to remove, stressing that these mines constitute an impediment to the return of Yemeni citizens to their homes in the region.

A Yemeni citizen escaped death due to the explosion of a mine planted by the Houthi militia in the Sabira area southwest of the Al Fakhir area in Al-Dhalea, and the explosion of the Houthi mine killed the citizen's sheep, as well as shrapnel flying at his location.

In Taiz, southern Yemen, a UN official stressed the need to lift the blockade imposed by the Houthi militia on the city for more than four years.

The delegation headed by the regional director of the World Food Program in Yemen, Ali Qureshi, and the Charge d'Affairs of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen, Nils Dingol, upon his arrival in Taiz, urged the urgent opening of the offices of international organizations, and the delegation discussed with the leaders of the local authority in Taiz Governorate .
