Salama warned that the process of entering Haftar to Tripoli will lead to a bloodbath and a terrible street war with the possibility of unspeakable massacres and destruction in the heart of the urban areas of the city, demanding that they move with great speed to impose the path of peace and stop the war immediately.

"Unfortunately, I do not rule out the fact that the war in Tripoli is now changing the scenarios very quickly and working to paralyze the United Nations efforts to reach a cease-fire in Libya," Salameh said.

These statements come a day after the Libyan government announced on Sunday that it had foiled a plan for multinational forces loyal to the forces of retired Major General Khalifa Hifter to enter the capital, Tripoli, last Friday.
