A report prepared by Zayed University on the graduates ’practical destinations, in the 2017-2018 academic year, revealed an 8% increase in Zayed University graduates’ orientation to work in the private sector.

This came during the first professional exhibition for the current academic year, which was opened by the President of the University, Dr. Riyadh Al-Muhaidib, in its two campuses in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with the aim of supporting Emiratization, and providing current and future employment and training opportunities for university students and helping them to build their career options on scientific grounds, and through an interactive and field approach to developments Accelerating the labor market.

The biannual event, organized by the University’s Professional Affairs Office, attracted many bodies, departments and companies that are keen to introduce their programs in various disciplines, providing areas for university graduates and students to meet directly with their representatives, and to identify new career prospects and successive developments in the labor market. The exhibition included an awareness area to support new students who are thinking about their specializations and looking for job experience opportunities to add to their CVs.

Al-Muhaidib pointed out that the exhibition constitutes a systematic link between the academic and practical stages, and contributes to providing students with a career path, as it provides them with extensive training opportunities during the study that qualify them to explore their career options and paths in the post-graduation stage.

He pointed out that such activities also contribute to strengthening the endeavors of institutions to attract a large number of graduates and graduates of Zayed University to work in its departments, as well as students of the final stages of the university to obtain training opportunities for them, given the scientific excellence that its graduates and graduates have of obtaining academic and technical skills, pointing to That the university is always working to strengthen relationships and communication with various community bodies to achieve the university's strategy in employing its graduates.

For his part, Acting Director of Student Affairs and Alumni Affairs Rashid Al-Shamsi said: “We have close links with 560 government agencies, 529 private sector companies, and 123 semi-governmental institutions, and the university has urged its graduates over the past five years to join the private sector.”

He added: “According to the latest report on graduation destinations we conducted for the 2017-2018 academic year, there is an 8% increase in the employment of graduates of graduates of Zayed University in the private sector, where the ratio was 15% in 2015 and rose to about 23% in 2018.” .
