Washington (AFP) The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reached a settlement with Ukraine for a $ 5.5 billion ($ 5 billion) loan. The three-year loan still needs to be approved by the Board of Directors and the member states of the IMF, IMF head Kristalina Georgieva said. The award also depends on the implementation of a number of measures in Ukraine, including strengthening the independence of the judiciary and the fight against corruption.
