Abdul Karim Al-Issa, "her strong condemnation of this criminal act, which is at the forefront of crimes punishable by the most severe penalties in Islamic law."

Al-Essa pointed out that “this horrific felony represents only the criminal inclinations of its owner, and that Islam and all Muslims are innocent of them,” stressing that “criminal delinquency has no religion or nationality, and that this sad news has hurt everyone.”

The Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da`wah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abd al-Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, denounced the incident and described it as an “awful crime.” He affirmed that “his perpetrator does not represent the Saudi people and does not represent the true religion.
