During the night towards Sunday, a deep and intense low pressure pulls in from the southwest and sets the point for the relatively mild December weather.

- It gets awkward with wind during Sunday. It will be most difficult at night against Monday in Hälsingland and north over central Norrland, where it will snow all night combined with harsh winds on the coast. The coastal towns in Norrland can have a difficult Monday morning, says Pia Hultgren.

Instead, Tuesday will be mild, clear and cold, with the exception of Gotland, which may be pulled by rain and harsh winds.

- In almost all the rest of the country, there will be a chance to recharge with a little December sun, and there will be minus degrees down to Skåne.

Low pressure continues

However, the light will be short-lived - already on Wednesday, the next deep low pressure will pull in over the country.

- There will be heavy winds with snowfall in Svealand and up over Norrland, and rain or wet snow in the south. A really rocky day.

Thursday will be quite cloudy and nice in the north, but rather sad in the south, according to Hultgren. On Friday, Lucia Day, it's time for the next low pressure.

- It's really every two days weather. Overall it gets pretty messy, with a lot of wind all over the country and snowfall from Småland and up - a lot of weather, simply. There will be many warnings, so be prepared and alert to the swings and the risk of slipping, she says.
