The White House responded, before the deadline for a call to defend President Donald Trump, in the investigation of his removal measures, by denouncing the entire legal process, considering that "it has no basis."

"As you know, your investigation is completely unfounded," White House attorney Pat Sibolloni said in a letter to the chairman of the US Senate Judicial Committee, Democrat Gerold Nadler.

While Siboloni never excluded the White House from participating in the process, the meaning was clear in saying that "the Democrats wasted enough of America's time in this charade."

Sibolloni sent the reply before the deadline in front of the White House to announce whether he intends to send representatives to the Judicial Committee, and the committee is working on preparing an indictment that will be voted on by the full council later this month.

While Democrats are likely to succeed in securing a majority, accusing Trump of allegations against him of abusing his authority by pressuring Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 presidential election, he is certain to be acquitted in the Republican-dominated Senate.

The Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, issued an order to the Judicial Committee to formulate formal provisions for accountability. The Committee may formulate the provisions and submit its recommendation on them by December 12, after conducting investigations that lasted more than two months, heard witnesses, and held hearings to find out if the President Republican misuse of office powers.

No American president has ever been isolated from an accountability process, and Republican President Richard Nixon resigned in 1974, after the House of Representatives began the process, against the backdrop of the "Watergate" corruption scandal.
