Six Saudi citizens were detained at the US Navy airbase in Pensacola, Florida, and are being questioned in connection with the shooting, which killed three soldiers and injured about ten.

It is reported by Fox News, citing a senior source.

Florida Governor Ron Desantis, in turn, confirmed that he had opened fire at Pensacola and was a Saudi citizen trained at the US airbase.

Florida Senator Rick Scott called for a review of training programs for foreign military pilots in the United States in connection with the incident.

“Today I am calling for a complete review of the military training programs for foreign citizens in America. We should not provide military training to those seeking to harm us, ”he wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, the king of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdel-Aziz Al Saud, instructed intelligence agencies to assist the United States in investigating the shooting at an air base in Florida.
