December 06, 2019They found it on the ground in front of the Tortona station, in the province of Alessandria. To lose their lives, for the cold, a 48-year-old Romanian homeless. To find him this morning at dawn some employees of the station who called 118.According to early medical reports, the man died of hypothermia. These days the cold is getting intense and at night the mercury column goes below zero. The man had already been noticed other times in the station square.
"We are baffled, a male dormitory has been operating for years, right in front of the station, with 13 places available for people in need", comments the mayor
of Tortona, Federico Chiodi.
Today is the second victim of the cold, after the homeless man found dead on the outskirts of Milan yesterday.
