This was announced by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

According to him, the Kremlin is serious about working within the Norman summit.

The Kremlin expects that during the summit it will be possible to help resolve the intra-Ukrainian conflict. The Russian side also hopes to provide once again an understanding of the uncontestedness of the implementation of the Minsk agreements and to prevent the attempt of “some kind of erosion of these agreements”.

“And, in addition, to carry out such important bilateral meetings with President Macron, and with German Chancellor Merkel, and with Ukrainian President Zelensky,” he said.

Earlier, former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko warned against face-to-face negotiations with Putin during the Normandy summit.

On December 2, the Ukrainian president called the Norman summit a good opportunity to start a dialogue on the situation in the Donbass.

The summit will be held in Paris on December 9.
