Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani announced talks with Saudi Arabia, pointing out that the talks did not talk about Riyadh's 13 demands for the return of relations with Doha, and that negotiations are moving away from them.

`` There are talks with our brothers in Saudi Arabia and we hope to produce positive results, '' the Qatari minister said in remarks on Friday at the Mediterranean Dialogue Forum in Rome.

Saudi Arabia has confirmed on Friday the invitation of Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to attend the Gulf summit in Riyadh.

In his speech at the forum, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir said that the Emir of Qatar was invited to attend the GCC summit in Riyadh next Tuesday.
