Willy Bardon was sentenced Friday to 30 years of criminal imprisonment by the Court of Assizes of the Somme for kidnapping and kidnapping followed by death and the rape of Elodie Kulik in 2002 and acquitted of the murderer. The jury followed the General Counsel's submissions, after 13 days of a "non-standard" hearing that turned on the "atrocities" committed on this 24-year-old bank employee kidnapped, raped, strangled, then burned in January 2002 near Tertry, in the Aisne.
