The document emphasizes that "CE experts urge Ukraine to immediately prepare a law on national minorities and postpone until this time the implementation of the articles of the law on language that has already been adopted."
In addition, CE experts suggest that the Ukrainian authorities “revise the law on the state language and prepare a law on minorities in consultation with all interested parties, especially representatives of national minorities and indigenous peoples.”
Earlier, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky announced the need to draft a bill on the protection of the rights of national minorities.
Also, the UN called on Ukraine to adopt the relevant law.
