The Ministry of Education organizes seven winter camps during the first semester leave, targeting students from the first to twelfth grade, in addition to families and university students as volunteers, with the aim of investing the leave period to qualify students in scientific, technical, social and sporting aspects.

The Ministry stated that the seven camps are "rivalries", "programming training", "Emirati School Scouts", "specialist volunteering", "jujitsu", "artificial intelligence and robot", and "practical and vocational training".

The Ministry clarified that the “competitions” of a specialized winter camp to train students in the field of the International Olympics, and aim to raise students ’skills and scientific capabilities to qualify them to global competitions, and participation will be through passing specialized tests, and the target number will reach 125 students, and the training headquarters will be the Emirates University.

As for programming training camp, it will be at the University of Sharjah, and prepares a specialized camp to train students in the field of programming, with the aim of raising students ’skills, and enhancing their scientific capabilities to qualify them in international competitions in programming. The Ministry stated in the Winter Camps Guide, for the first semester leave, for the current academic year, Emirates Today obtained a copy of it, that the Emirati School Scout camp is a specialized camp through which students acquire scouting skills, including military walking, first aid, rescue and technological skills, and others Scouts offer a number of volunteer initiatives and scientific and leisure trips.

The Ministry pointed out that the Emirati School Scout camp is linked to the "Our Ambassadors" program, where ambassadors are selected from students affiliated with the camp, which has 700 students from all levels of education, stressing that the camp is distinguished by its diverse and enriching content for students' skills, which meets their future desires, as it earns them Academic and life skills.

The Ministry has identified three places to implement the camp, which is Ahmed bin Sulayem School in Dubai (Rashid Al-Kashfi Camp), Ras Al-Khaimah Secondary School in Ras Al-Khaimah (Al-Kharran Camp Scout), and Wadi Al-Helo School in Fujairah (Camp Sidra), and several parties will participate in the camp, including Civil Defense and Sanid Crisis and Emergency Program.

The Ministry indicated that the specialized volunteer camp offers a set of paths that the Ministry has developed, within directed frameworks, through which students are qualified and empowered to volunteer work in a specific specialized field based on the skills and programs they acquired during the course and successfully passed, and among these tracks are arbitration, evaluation and training Organization, robot, programming and media volunteering, and the camp targets 250 students.

As for the jujitsu camp, it focuses on spreading a culture of self-defense, and enhancing physical fitness and self-confidence, and it targets 600 students from all stages, organized by the Ministry in all Emirates.

While the Artificial Intelligence and Robot Camp aims to train students to prepare for the competitions developed in the championship of the Artificial Intelligence and Robot Series 2020, to enable students to compete globally in this field, within the framework of achieving the UAE Centennial 2071, and 250 students from the fifth to twelfth grades participate in the camp. The practical and professional training camp provides students with the opportunity to train and practice work in companies and institutions in the private and government sectors, and it targets high school students.

Scout targets

The Ministry of Education stated that the scout camp will achieve several goals, which are investing student energies and directing them in the future paths of the state, motivating students to participate in winter activities commensurate with their preferences, transferring knowledge to students through modern strategies in education, and supporting a culture of creativity and innovation in the camp environment , And attracting and participating community institutions to support ethical education and develop students ’skills.
