The burglaries have taken place along the E4 with smaller detours and they are moving slowly north, the police write. Perpetrators have broken into villas and townhouses during the day. At the latest on Thursday afternoon, a burglary occurred in Härnösand, shortly thereafter in Sundsvall.
"We suspect that they are slowly moving north," said Maria Linné, communicator at the police.
All properties affected have been in relatively close proximity to E4 and the police suspect that the thieves are moving north. Because the previous burglaries have similar approaches, the police suspect that these are the same perpetrators.
The police now want to encourage residents in residential and townhouse areas along the E4, with shorter detours, to pay attention to unknown persons and vehicles in the areas, they write on their website.
