“The president is aware of all situations that somehow have a public outcry, this is quite natural, but he also cannot make judgments, make comments that could be interpreted as an attempt to put pressure on the court,” Peskov said in an interview with Dozhd.

He emphasized that the only possible way in this case is to leave the question to the court decision.

“Whatever the court’s decision, then there will be appropriate opportunities for filing an appeal with other higher authorities, if necessary, they can be used in accordance with our legislation,” Peskov said.

On September 25, the Basmanny Court of Moscow extended preventive measures to two participants in the July 27 unauthorized rally - Yegor Zhukov and Samarridin Rajabov.

Initially, both defendants were charged with the article "Mass riots." Subsequently, this charge was dropped from Zhukov, but a case of extremism was opened.
