“The investigation is now working out all versions of the possible customers of this murder. We can already say bluntly that this is a contract kill. Two of these young people ... were hired killers, ”Interfax-Ukraine quotes the Ukrainian deputy interior minister, Anton Gerashchenko.

He also confirmed that both detainees had previously served in one of the volunteer units, while one of them was awarded the Order of Courage by ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

“All his previous services to the country cannot in any way alleviate the burden of his punishment. And it, I think, will be very cruel, ”Gerashchenko added.

Both suspects were arrested by court order.

Earlier, the arrest of one of the suspects without the right to deposit was reported.

On December 1, unknown persons fired at Sobolev’s car in Kiev, as a result of which his three-year-old son died.

Later, two young people of 18 and 19 years old, suspected of attempting to kill the deputy, were detained.
