The idea is that the tournament will have its premiere in 2021 and the start date is set for July 29.

- We want to do something that does good for society and has said it should be a 100 percent value-controlled cup. We will place great focus on issues related to humanity, sustainability and leadership. We want to send something good to the participants, says Pär Eriksson, project manager

"Do it for Norrköping's sake"

The goal is for the tournament to attract teams from all over the country but you also want to see international elements. The aim is to develop youth football in Norrköping and at the same time put the city on the map as a sports city.

- We do this for Norrköping's sake. we think that Norrköping as a large and traditionally large football city deserves a great youth cup. In addition, there is a black hole on the football scorecard map, there are no other big big cups in the area. Then Norrköping would feel good about an annual event, says Pär Eriksson to SVT Nyheter Öst.

Behind the initiative are Eneby BK, Lindö FF and Smedby AIS together with a Norrköpings-based event company.
