The man, who was arrested on Wednesday on probable cause for the attempted murder of a 70-year-old woman, is a Norwegian citizen. Prosecutor Henrik Steen tells SVT that Norwegian authorities are contacted.

- Yes, we have made an initial contact to see what we can get. But what we have come up with is nothing I can comment on now, says Henrik Steen.

Suspected of violent crime in Norway

Documents that NRK shared with SVT show that the 33-year-old is known by the Norwegian police. The man has been prosecuted at the Oslo District Court since June this year for several acts of violence that should have taken place at the police house in Oslo 2016.

According to the indictment, the man must have struck a person in the back of the head without cause, which should have caused pain. The 33-year-old must also have peeled a police officer so that his head banged in an elevator door and tried to peel another police officer. He must also have bitten an arrest guard in his shoe.

Arrested as a suspect in Sweden

In addition, he must have struck two other people on the face, one of whom suffered a concussion and injuries to one eye.

The judgment in the case in Oslo has not yet fallen. The man is currently in custody in Sweden on suspicion of attempted murder after the incident in Lund.
